Operation Christmas Child

It’s shoebox time again! Shoebox gifts are again the theme of the spirit of giving to the world, accompanied by the Gospel story for children from 2-14 years old. This 20 year old ministry continues to bless the souls and lives of children around the world in over 100 countries. YOU CAN HELP by taking an empty shoebox and filling it with age appropriate gifts and toys for a child to show him or her what it means to receive an unexpected gift, just like the gift of salvation from the Lord. Click here for a list of suggested items...

Packing Party

You are invited to attend a church wide packing party for Operation Christmas Child on Sunday, November 13 beginning at 4pm.  To participate, please bring twelve appropriate items that would fit into a shoebox; this can be toys, stuffed animals, games, hygiene items, tote bags, packs of candy, articles of clothing, school supplies, etc.

Drop in anytime between 4pm and 7pm on November 13 in the hallway leading to the new building. We will have tables set up with all donated items and you can pack your box right at the church. Or, if you wish to shop early or cannot make the party, donated items can be placed in the bin at the OCC Display in the Mission Collection area..

Shoeboxes need to be returned to the church between November 14 and 20 accompanied by a $7 cash or check for international shipping for each box. Make the checks out to Samaritan’s Purse and if you have more than one box, one check for the lot is okay.

If you have questions, call Will or Ann Rowe at 842-7706. Thanks to all and may God bless your efforts.
