Meet The Director

Hello HUMCDC families! I’m Kristie Blackstone and I’ve been with HUMCDC since 1998. I began my career in early childhood as a Preschool teacher and taught in a classroom for 18 years. I then served as Assistant Director for 7 years and am excited to hold the Directors position at the same preschool where my career began. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Development from East Tennessee State University. I am compassionate about children and their healthy growth and development. I have dedicated my life and career to helping assure children at HUMCDC not only receive a meaningful early education but can also have a loving and nurturing experience in a high quality, Christian, environment where they will make lifetime memories and friends.

I am the mother of two daughters and the grandmother of one granddaughter. I love spending time with family, traveling and making memories that will last a life time.
