We aim to partner the church and families to create a Christian community that encourages young children to begin building their relationship with God, grow together, and live out their faith.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Programs

SUNDAY  |  9:45–10:45 a.m. We gather every Sunday morning in the Children’s Ministry Building for Sunday School.  Children engage in age appropriate, hands-on lessons with both large group and small group times. A nursery is also available during the Sunday School hour.
> GOD’S GREENHOUSE (Birth–5yr)

Nursery (Birth-Toddler)
8:30–9:30 a.m. / 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
An engaging nursery and preschool worship time is offered during all three services.

Seeds of Faith Worship (2yr–4/5yr)
11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. 
This worship time takes place during the 11:00 services and is a wonderful time for little ones to plant their seeds of faith! This children’s service consists of songs, prayer, offering, and a scripture lesson.

> GOD’S GARDEN (K–3rd)

Growing in Faith Worship (K–3rd)
11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
This special time of worship during the 11:00 services prepares children to engage in lifelong participation in worship and is a great time to grow in their faith! Beginning in Kindergarten, families begin worship together in the main services. At a designated point in the service, children may either remain with their families to hear the sermon or choose to go to the chapel for this unique worship time.

> TWEENS (4th–5th)

Worship (4th–5th)
8:30–9:30 a.m. / 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Children of this age remain in the services with their families and are encouraged to participate in worship through, song, prayer, and service.

 

SUNDAY  |  5:00–7:00 p.m. Sunday evenings are fun time of music and fellowship. We begin the night with rehearsals for the Christmas musical (in the Fall) or Children’s Choir (in the Spring) and finish the evening with games, small groups, food and fun! An optional dinner is offered for all children.
WEDNESDAY  |  6:30–8:00 p.m. Weekdays can be stressful when school is in full-swing. That’s why we’ve designed Wednesdays to be a Midweek Oasis. A special small group for Kindergarten–3rd Grade (God’s Garden) and 4th–5th Grade (Tweens) meet each Wednesday during the school year. These are designed as life groups—where children live life together and learn how to grow in their relationship with God. Preschoolers, 2yr–5yr (God’s Greenhouse) also meet to participate in interactive Bible stories, missions, games, and crafts. A nursery time is also available on Wednesday evenings.
Throughout the year, we host special events for families with children (Birth–5th grade) such as Easter Eggstravangza, VBS, Camp Notalotofwoods, and much more! We also offer numerous weekend events, retreats, and mission opportunities for children; and we strive to provide programming that allows families to live out their faith together!

God’s Greenhouse Preschool Ministry

(Birth–4/5 years)

The purpose of God’s Greenhouse Preschool ministry is to provide a safe, loving, fun, and comfortable environment for both you and your children. To accomplish this mission, our nursery and preschool workers give attention to each child as they care for their needs and as they teach. In additon to nursery and Sunday School, preschoolers may attend Seeds of Faith Worship during the 11:00 Sunday worship services. The Preschool Ministry also meets on Wednesday evenings during Midweek Oasis.

Is there a check-in system?

Yes, our Children’s Ministry has an ID badge system to help ensure that the individual who brings a child to his/her classroom is the same person with whom the child leaves during pick up time. As you sign-in your child, you will receive two small pieces of paper — one to be placed on a clipboard in your child’s room and one to take with you. Please bring this portion back for the sign-out process. You’ll also sign-in your child at the classroom entrance. This will give you a chance to discuss any special instructions with the nursery or classroom workers.

What are the classrooms like?
The Preschool Ministry is made up of five classrooms: Infants, Toddlers, 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, and 4/5-year-olds. All the classrooms are located within a central area of our Children’s Ministry Building and are outfitted with age appropriate furnishings and supplies.
Who will be taking care of my child?
Each class is staffed by a committed team of workers. The Worship team serves on a regular rotation and the Sunday School Team is committed to teaching children for an entire year, so your child can begin the morning with familiar faces each week!
What about snacks?
Unless otherwise instructed, children will be offered a NUT-FREE snack and water during classroom time.

God’s Garden Elementary Ministry

(K–3rd grade)

G od’s Garden Elementary Ministry exists to provide a warm, loving environment where you and your child can have fun and learn about God. We partner with parents to offer spiritual nurturing, to build relationships, and to teach Scripture effectively in the hope that children will understand and apply spiritual truths to their lives. We ask that all parents fill out a Registration form the first Sunday the child is in a class. In addition to their Sunday School, children in Kindergarten—Third Grade may also attend Growing in Faith Worship during the later half of the 11:00 Sunday worship services. God’s Garden also meets on Wednesday evenings during Midweek Oasis.

 

 

Tween Ministry

(4th–5th grade)

What is a Tween? A Tween is someone who is not a child, but not yet a youth, and who needs a special place of their own. To meet the unique needs of our Tweens, we have a special Sunday Sunday School class and offer retreats and special events throught the year. This age group also meets on Wednesday evenings during Midweek Oasis.
